Description
The Strategic Sourcing team, a division of the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) organization, plays a crucial role in ensuring access to a diverse range of products worldwide. They leverage supply chain systems and collaborative experiences with vendors to manage the sourcing and procurement of millions of items across hundreds of product lines globally. Within SCOT, the Inbound Infraction Management (IIM) program team focuses on vendor compliance and management, with the primary objective of enhancing efficiency and accuracy in the inbound process. They work to eliminate vendor-injected defects, streamline processes for vendors, and manage all inbound-related infractions and chargebacks applied to vendors for supply chain defects arising during the inbound process.
This role is responsible for leading and driving strategic initiatives to enhance Amazon's defect management processes and systems covering all labeling related defects. You will spearhead efforts to achieve substantial reductions in defect rates, ultimately delivering cost savings and an improved customer experience. Your primary focus will be on identifying and optimizing systems and workflow to accurately identify defects, implement effective behavioral change mechanisms for fault owners at scale, and drive the elimination of defects at the source. The successful candidate will formulate a long-term vision for defect management, proposing innovative ideas and processes to eliminate vendor defects, while collaborating with key stakeholders to build automated systems that address these pain points systematically. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-centric approach, data analysis expertise, project management skills, and a deep motivation to continuously improve processes. Experience working in a cross-functional capacity and a proven track record of delivering operational excellence are essential qualifications.

Operate autonomously to build, develop, and manage the adoption and continuous improvement of your program space.
Set delivery/completion dates for program milestones and establish a regular review cadence to report on the state and impact of your initiatives according to established goals. Leverage metrics to deep-dive into issues and uncover business-driving trends and patterns.
Implement mechanisms to audit and perform necessary course corrections to meet business objectives.
Collaborate closely with other program/product managers, category teams, operations, and potentially engineers to deliver on your roadmap.
Drive alignment and secure buy-in from senior leaders and key cross-functional partners.
Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and customer-centricity within the team and across stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Strong project management skills of breaking down tasks, simplifying roadmaps, establishing owners and timelines, and status reporting
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
Intermediate/Advanced Knowledge of SQL and Excel or willingness to learn

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
