Description
Amazon Engineering Services has an opening for an experienced program manager for change management within its Engineering Change Management (ECM) team.
This role will work to maximize the understanding and adoption of program and process changes while minimizing business disruption and employee confusion. The Program Manager, as a Change Management agent, will drive prioritizing tasks and resources to best achieve organization and team-level goals and quickly escalating when there is no clear path forward.
Key job responsibilities
Work across business, product, and development teams to balance cost, schedule, and other variables to deliver projects that delight our customers.
Responsible for solving big problems and connecting multiple teams across the global operations organization
Earn trust with other stakeholders and teams
De-escalate situations by using strong project and program management skills
Exercise strong bias for action and able to deliver results within tight SLAs
Review new change requests from corporate and site stakeholders against existing standards
Build and maintain a team of subject matter experts across a wide variety of disciplines
Identify and address customer and business pain points by through lean engineering and other techniques
Lead and implement significant process improvement projects within the team and larger change management network
Identify and implement promising improvements across larger portions of Amazon's middle and last mile network
About the team
The Engineering Change Management team operates within the Engineering Planning & Analytics (EP&A) organization, directly supporting multiple business portfolios including Global Customer Fulfillment (GCF) Core, Emerging Country Customer Fulfillment (ECCF), AIR, Amazon Logistics (AMZL), Amazon Transportation Services North America (ATS NA), Global Specialty Fulfillment (GSF), Amazon Pharmacy, and Initiatives. The annual ECM portfolio consists of 10,000+ requests yearly in network, local, pilot and composite changes.
ECM's mission is to lead effective communication and decision flow between all stakeholders to facilitate high-quality and timely implementation of customer-centric projects that impact the future of Amazon. The ECM team supports Amazon's worldwide frugal and rapid growth by sustaining accuracy and consistency in site configurations.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
