Amazon Finance Manager, Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) in Bellevue, Washington

Amazon’s Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Finance team is seeking a highly effective Finance Manager to join our team. Are you interested in learning about Generative AI and what it takes to build GenAI models? If you have a passion for learning and using your financial acumen to deliver insights and drive high-velocity decision making this role is for you! This role will partner with the AGI Data Services organization who generate ground truth data used to train machine learning models in various data formats including text, video, images, and audio and packages this information to be used by internal stakeholders (e.g. data modeling and product teams). Key job responsibilities

• Build and maintain in depth knowledge across key business areas by staying current on initiatives, challenges and opportunities across the business

• Identify, quantify and drive operational and cost saving initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and quality of data across multiple Amazon products and services

• Own the design and implementation of key performance indicators and reporting solutions to drive insights and enable quicker and more effective decision making

• Support the operational planning process for the AGI data services organization, including interacting with Vice Presidents and Directors from the business, Finance, and product teams

• Support monthly close and planning cycles related to high visibility AGI Data Services expenditures

A day in the life

This role will partner with the AGI Data Services organization under Amazon’s AGI business focused on customer interfacing and demand planning, operational site strategy, and workflow management. The role will own both strategic and operational components of financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis, including creating, maintaining and expanding the scope of financial models that help drive the business. Given the strategic nature of this business, this is a high visibility role.

AGI Data Services (AGI DS) within AGI, builds services for storing, accessing, and manually labeling data for training foundational and specialized AI models with world-class privacy and security for our end customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
