The Worldwide DEX Team is looking for an experienced Engineer. As a Engineer, you will need to review technical , develop and enhance systems and pipelines supporting process optimization in reporting, planning, and controlling activities in EU Engineering Services, as well as integrate in-house infrastructure with partner systems. You should be an expert in the architecture of warehousing solutions, using multiple platforms and tools. In addition, you should have strong analytical skills and excel in the , creation, management, and business use of large sets, combining raw information from different sources. Similarly, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable extract, transform, and load () processes to support the rapidly growing and dynamic business demand for , and use it to deliver the as a service, which will have an immediate influence on day-to-day business decision making. Moreover, you will create automated alarming and dashboards to monitor integrity. Finally yet importantly, you should have very good communication skills and ability to adjust communication to different groups of stakeholders, collaborating with architects, BI engineers, scientists, business analysts/managers, to evaluate business needs and objectives in order to set up the best management environment. Overall, you will be the subject matter expert for the structures and usage, while striving for efficiency by aligning systems with business goals.

Core responsibilities may include: - Design, implement and support an analytical infrastructure providing ad-hoc access to large datasets and computing power

  • Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using and technologies

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience

  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions

  • Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
