What we need:

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), your primary responsibility will be to oversee and optimize the operational aspects of the organization. You will work closely with the CEO and other senior executives to develop and execute strategies that drive growth, improve efficiency, and enhance overall performance. Your role will involve managing the Operations Department and the various delivery lines of service reporting to you by fostering cross-functional collaboration and ensuring the successful delivery of all lines of service.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to define the company's strategic direction and long-term goals.

  • Develop and implement operational plans and initiatives to support the company's overall strategy.

  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to identify opportunities and risks.

Operations Management:

  • Streamline and optimize internal processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments and service lines.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Identify operational bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.

Service Line Leadership: 

  • Provide leadership to and work collaboratively with Service Line leaders to ensure the successful growth of their service line.

  • Explore opportunities to bring the best of Fresh across all of our service lines to our clients to solve their integrated challenges.   

  • Collaborate with and support the Chief Revenue Officer, Business Development, and Marketing to develop strategies to actively promote and showcase our capabilities. 

  • Strategize with your delivery direct reports to manage each team’s profit and loss (P&L) statement regarding ability to generate sales, manage expenses, and create profits.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Foster collaboration and communication among different departments to promote a cohesive working environment in partnership with the Chief People Officer (CPO).

  • Work closely with the executive team including developing and aligning operational strategies to  the company's overall objectives.

  • Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to ensure effective technology infrastructure and software systems are in place to support the company's operations.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing leadership team across the service lines and across the operations team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.

  • Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members.

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the service lines and operations department.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Develop and implement business continuity plans to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors, to ensure strong relationships and successful partnerships.

  • Represent the company's operational capabilities and strategies to external stakeholders.

Requirements Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Proven experience as a COO or in a similar leadership role within the technology industry.

  • Strong understanding of technology trends, engineering and development processes, and operational best practices.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing operational strategies that drive growth and improve efficiency.

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.

  • Proven track record in managing complex projects and delivering results within deadlines.

For a Washington-State-based role, the base salary hiring range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
