With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (-JBS Canada-) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations-the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

The incumbent possesses excellent communication skills and has exposure to the food processing industry. They are responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment in a manufacturing environment while adhering to the Company objectives pertaining to quality, customer service, efficiency and the safety of all employees. The incumbent will present a professional and respectful attitude when dealing with both internal and external contacts and will work towards facilitating a team atmosphere within the facility.
NOTE: This position will be located in Belleville, ON
You will:
General Duties
Provide maintenance, service & repair of production equipment
Assembly of all equipment
Have the ability to detect & trouble shoot irregularities
Have the ability to repair & replace defective machinery parts safely and efficiently
Provide general maintenance shop work
Ensure downtime sheets are accurately completed
Complete all daily paperwork and ensure it is all turned in to the Maintenance Manager
Other duties as assigned.
Safety
Ensure safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Take a proactive approach to safety and prevent injuries from occurring
Have a full understanding of all safe work procedures including all lockout procedures
Ensure department is kept clean and housekeeping is at high standards to ensure a safe work environment
Quality
Enforce and follow all HACCP procedures and is committed to food safety
Ensure superior product through efficient equipment operations
Complete HACCP logs as required
You have
2-3 years of experience is required
Red Seal and Millwright Trade certificate required
Language of work is English
Willing to work various shifts as needed
Works well under pressure
Interest and potential for growth
Committed to teamwork
Valid driver's license and own transportation, own vehicle
Ability to start with your own steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles
Earn Competitive Wages: $42.00 hourly as per Collective Agreement, Night Shift Premium, Permanent Full-Time Position, Group Benefits and Pension
