ManpowerGroup Maintenance Technician in Belleville, Illinois

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the production team in Belleville, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a demonstrated understanding of electrical and mechanical machine controls and drive systems, and experience in basic building upkeep and maintenance of facility equipment to include carpentry, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing repairs.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Belleville, IL

Pay Range: Competitive salary based on experience

What's the Job?

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on fabrication/enamel equipment in order to minimize downtime

  • Support installation/relocation of new/existing equipment including all utility hook ups

  • Plan and execute maintenance activities including defining scope, identifying the necessary parts and supplies, determining the required tools and equipment, and calculating the time required to complete the job

  • Complete work orders and associated documentation timely and accurately

  • Possess analytical skills and a demonstrated understanding of electrical and mechanical machine controls and drive systems

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma; technical degree in Industrial Maintenance from an accredited trade school preferred

  • 3 or more years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing facility

  • Able to read/troubleshoot electrical/pneumatic schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC ladder logic

  • Must have basic knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, hydraulics and structural maintenance

  • Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment; flexible with hours during the week and some weekends
