Assembly Associate

The Assembly Associate will produce high quality Permobil products by assembling various components according to established procedures and follow company policies.

Our Assembly department in Belleville, IL is now looking for a Assembly Associate.

Key Tasks

PRODUCES QUALITY PRODUCT BY:

Performing all functions of assembly process as needed including but not limited to: placing appropriate back on the line; wiping the conformal free of debris; transferring conformal from rack to palettes on the line; lay appropriate gaskets and backs with hand patting; removing assembled cushion from palette and overlay and transferring to rack; pushing transfer carts; general housecleaning.

MAINTAINS EFFICIENT WORKFLOW BY:

Ensuring work order accuracy; take empty chemical containers to inventory at the end of the day for refilling; stocking shelves/cutting gaskets; pressure washing overlay and palettes as needed; re-tape boards/palettes; rotating empty back trays to rear of back shelf; reporting broken or damaged equipment immediately; performing other job operations as needed; maintaining an efficient work pace that doesn’t slow production line.

SUPPORTS OPERATIONS BY:

Inspecting product for defects that may cause failures in assembly or final inspection; reporting issues immediately to prevent problems from growing out of control; properly organizing work orders on transfer carts for the next department. Working where needed without notice.

MAINTAIN QUALITY SERVICE BY:

Checking components for defects; reporting defects and equipment of products and equipment; keeping error rates minimal and within acceptable ranges; meeting and exceeding all performance measurements: quantity, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performance.

    Your Background

  • No prior experience or training is required. Work in a production, manufacturing or warehouse is preferred.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write clearly

  • Very slight amount required with basic computer operation skills
