What We do / The Team
You will join the Equity Derivatives Trade management and Data technology team in Belfast, specializing in supporting the strategic reference data platform used by Global Equity Derivatives business. This team is a key partner to the markets business and has been a major contributor to its success. In line with business expansion plans, and to close the gap to competition, the organization is undertaking long term programme of platform review and redevelopment. The ability to solve challenging business problems and manage projects effectively and efficiently in a complex technical environment is vital to the success of the overall strategy
Role Overview/What will you do:
This is a high visibility position to drive the execution of the Global Equity Derivatives Strategic Reference Data book of work. The successful candidate will partner with technology and business organizations to provide solutions that enhance the foundation of our Equity Derivatives business. The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team.

Responsibilities:
Overall ownership of the following functions within the group:
Problem definition & requirements gathering
Use case capture & documentation
Process & workflow documentation & re-engineering
Data analysis
Test case definition & testing co-ordination across multiple areas, products and regions in conjunction with QA counterparts.
Project management including, but not limited to status reporting, milestone, risk and issue management
The following are essential:
Clear, concise and accurate communication at all stages of a project
Adherence to internal Citi BA/PM & SDLC standards
Provision of assistance to Equities IT to facilitate delivery & issue resolution in a timely manner
Key Skills and Experience required –
Proven experience as a Business Analyst with extensive knowledge of derivative products, preferably understanding of reference data required across Risk, Trade Management, Lifecycle & Corporate Actions
Strong analytical background particularly in relation to data analysis
Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle from inception to maturity, as well as key regulatory requirements
Proven delivery track of complex global projects
Basic knowledge of data modelling
Strong SQL is essential with the ability to navigate a database and use SQL to extract data
Project management experience
Good working knowledge of Excel, Visio, JIRA & Confluence
Basic understanding of data modelling & object orientation

Qualifications:
Degree educated in Finance and/or Technology would be beneficial or candidates who have operated in a similar role.
Project management qualification beneficial but not essential
