POSITION SUMMARY

The Chemical Mix Technician position is responsible for blending chemicals, maintaining the chemical mix area, wastewater treatment and forklift duties as required.  This is a detailed, schedule driven job that will report to the Operations Manager.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Mixing Chemicals: Meet production schedules daily while communication with shipping on finished products.  Ensuring the safety of all employees by completing all required training and following all safety requirements. Capable of following written instructions, symbols, and labels.

• Forklift: Certified forklift operator.  Requires movement of raw materials and finished goods in safe manner.  Maintain forklift certification through required coursework.

• Wastewater management: Follow guidelines as provided by lab for treating in-house wastewater.  Able to complete on-going training requirements following RCRA guidelines.

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES: 

Forklift certified

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

1+ years industrial work experience

High school diploma or GED

 

OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses, gloves, apron, steel-toe boots, respirator.

• Lift over 50 lbs, capable of climbing up and down ladders

Industrial production environment, exposure to hazardous chemicals daily and general warehouse environment.

 

SALARY

$15.00 hour -- Standard 40-hour work week with
