Here, you'll discover the rigor it takes to make a difference and the fulfillment that comes with living the #NetworkLife.What you'll be doing...As a Principal Engineer of Network Real Estate and Regulatory, you will have a key role supporting wireless real estate in the busy and challenging Tri-State Region, which includes NJ, DE and Eastern PA. You will primarily be responsible for delivering real estate entitlements to support evolving network enhancements, including growing and managing relationships with internal and external partners, contract review and negotiation, general problem solving, implementation of best practices, and overall program management. A key aspect of this role is building collaborative relationships with our internal key business partners to understand their priorities and challenges, addressing their needs on an ongoing basis, and delivering time and cost saving solutions to enhance the overall success of the network enhancement projects. This role will effectively manage multiple time-sensitive initiatives, report out on progress and KPIs, interface with all levels of management, and act as a trusted advisor to engineering leadership to ensure alignment and execution of strategic goals. As Principal Engineer, you will manage and drive relationships with such entities as MLB, NFL in support of venues such as MetLife Stadium, Citizen's Bank Park and Newark Airport.- Owns partner relationships including strategy, recommendations, and execution. Act as primary point of contact for supplier and field, acting as an escalation point to govern the process.- Conducts Market research and providing benchmark data on pricing and/or other key terms and conditions, facilitating RFP's, and working with the internal business partners to develop negotiation strategies, objectives and plans.- Identifies areas for improvement, incorporating best-in-class and cutting-edge techniques, and designing new approaches and methodologies.- Subject matter expertise on Land Use restrictions/regulations (e.g., DOB, FDNY, Regulatory).- Maintains the regional monthly cell capital plan ensuring spending accuracy and monthly forecasting.- Works with Network Implementation teams in order to rectify on-site challenges preventing the advancement of network activations.- Collaborates with outside vendors including general contractors and Architectural & Engineering firms on project design and priorities to meet VZW standards and build schedules.- Partners with IB/Venue RF Engineering teams to enhance and upgrade existing network IB DAS systems.- Hosts weekly routine planning and working sessions with critical stakeholders and regional operations managers to review project scopes.What we're looking for...You'll need to have:- Bachelor's degree or six or more years of work experience.- Six or more years of relevant work experience.- Six or more years of relevant real estate, municipal engagement, or contractual negotiation work.Even better if you have one or more of the following:- A Master's degree.- Program management experience in a complex multi-project and multi-geography environment.- Ability to manage large scale, longer-duration projects to completion.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.Where you'll be workingIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.Scheduled Weekly Hours40Equal Employment OpportunityWe're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
