Documentation Specialist

Job Summary:

Prepares loan documentation using Laser Pro for certain non-complex commercial purpose loans, to include loans made under the Small Business Association (SBA) programs.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzes loan request and prepares documentation for new and renewed loans in compliance with bank policy, federal and state regulations

• Produces documentation for all types of commercial and small business loans to include, term loans and lines of credit. These loans will be secured by business assets and/or real estate

• Ensures all required documentation is prepared to properly perfect the bank’s lien and that all documentation requirements are met, to include titles, UCC’s, mortgages, deeds and title commitments

• Prepares other correspondence as needed.

• Provides excellent customer service in daily interaction with lenders and their clients

• Special projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 5 plus years of commercial lending experience in closing, documentation or operations preferred.

  • 1-2 years experience with Laser Pro

  • Basic computer skills (Word & Excel) required along with an understanding of Microsoft Access

  • Knowledge of own department’s operations, policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of loan legal documentation including but not limited to notes, mortgages, credit agreements and formation documents.
