We are currently looking to hire a Roadway Programs Technician 1. As part of this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to roadway programs. From conducting inspections to analyzing data, your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our transportation systems. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Technical responsibilities will be carried out to support the assessment, examination, and enhancement of maintenance operations aligned with management goals and department protocols in Bedford County. Moreover, ensuring work plans are well-balanced and have the necessary resources like labor, materials, equipment, and funds will be part of the duties. Adjustments to work plans will be made as necessary, and field crew personnel in systems applications and Products (SAP) will be managed based on directives from Assistant Highway Maintenance Manager (AHMM) or Roadway Programs Coordinator (RPC), either bi-annually or more frequently. Reviewing and analyzing data from SAP, plant maintenance and roadway management systems will be done to maintain program objectives and system control.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bedford. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a Technical Assistant; or One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent.; or An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
