Position Summary:
Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory. Fills in as needed in the department. Functions as one of the department's primary contacts with patients. Assists with clerical duties.
Essential Functions:

Maintains a clean work area and proper stock on supplies. Drag Edit Delete
Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate polices and procedures. Drag Edit Delete
Performs clerical duties.
Reports to: Phlebotomist Supervisor
Minimum Education x High school diploma or equivalent □ Preferred x Required Drag Edit Delete
Minimum Education Completion of a Phlebotomy course or equivalent training/experience or National Healthcareer Association Phlebotomy certification preferred Drag Edit Delete
Required Skills Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days Drag Edit Delete
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Drag Edit Delete
Required Skills Formal phlebotomy training preferred.
