Nike Senior Manager, Graphic Designer, Global Jordan in Beaverton, Oregon

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We’re currently looking for a Senior Manager, Graphic Designer, Global Jordan to contribute to the vision for Jordan Apparel. This role requires a high taste level and modern design aesthetic, along with the versatility and focus to contribute to graphic direction and strategy through the product creation process. If this is you, you will have a strong sense of typography, illustrating, and pattern work. Understanding performance, graphic tees, as well as head to toe uniforms is essential.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

You will be working on groundbreaking, innovative Jordan apparel that will blend into footwear. You will also work on concepts, and building out narratives that will inspire and influence both apparel that will also blend into footwear, focusing on graphic tees, and head to toe uniforms. To accomplish this, you will collaborate with your design, development and business partners to ensure all details are recorded and delivered as presented. From Trims to print applications and cost considerations you will be challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences. Accountabilities include but are not limited to, influencing teams, and contributing to the creative vision of Jordan apparel.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

You will be driving graphic strategy and vision while working with multiple teams of designers, developers, and product managers to deliver creative in line with the Jordan Design Ethos. This opportunity will require strong collaborative skills and the ability to lead a team.

This role will manage 3-4 designers.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.

  • 8 years or more of graphic design experience on apparel or footwear

  • High taste level and experience in fashion preferred

  • Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.

  • Master at translating insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling.

  • Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities.

  • Master visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present design intent to internal and external audiences.

  • Master of design craft, innovation, graphic applications, prints, processes and tools.

  • Digital design acumen in Adobe CC and comfortable working within Digital tools/3D

  • Ability to embrace diverse points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivity.
