Nike Senior Graphic Design Manager, Global Jordan Streetwear in Beaverton, Oregon

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Design Manager who is an exceptional graphic storyteller with proven design excellence, curiosity, problem-solving tenacity, and a passion for making those around them better. This role requires a dedicated leader and teammate who knows how to collaborate and translate sophisticated insights into authentic narratives while driving design solutions that elevate the future of the Streetwear Offense at Jordan. This designer will also play a key role in mentoring and developing junior designers, fostering their growth and skills within the design team across both Apparel and Footwear graphics.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

You will work closely with the Design Director and Product Leadership to help drive graphic strategy and vision while collaborating with multiple teams of designers, developers, and product managers to deliver creative work in line with the Jordan Design Ethos. From trims to print applications and cost considerations, you will be challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences. You will have direct reports. This opportunity will require strong collaborative skills to meet deadlines, ensure the feasibility of designs, and articulate the thinking behind your work to partners.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.

  • 8+ years of relevant design work experience in a related field

  • Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.

  • A well-curated portfolio showcasing a variety of projects that demonstrate a strong, effective methodology for research, inspiration, design development, problem-solving, process, and final execution.

  • Ability to motivate and mentor designers and other teammates within project settings.

  • High degree of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; proficiency in Adobe Photoshop. - Digital design acumen in Adobe CC and competency in 3D design, CLO tools is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of the competitive streetwear brand landscape, with an ability for gaining insights that drive product differentiation.

  • Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities.

  • Expert of design craft, innovation, graphic applications, prints, processes, and tools.

  • A deep understanding of the apparel product creation.

  • Ability to embrace diverse points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivity.

  • Expert narrative development and communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver project presentations to senior leadership and external partners.

  • A deep understanding of typography, color theory, brand identity, and design principles.

  • Passion for streetwear, lifestyle footwear and street-style culture.
