WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Data Analytics Manager to join the Data Science team. This role participates as a member of a product team delivering scalable data architecture and data products to drive decision making across Nike’s Global functions. The candidate needs to be a strong leader, meticulous teammate, and a self-motivated data evangelist.
Unconventionally curious, especially about how data can be used to optimize business opportunities.
You obsess the value of sound data architecture and promote the best practices and standards to support analytics solutions.
Passionate about translating business requirements into data designs that drive the development of analytics tools and data products.
Highly proficient in SQL, experienced in data design for analytics solutions and at home in a cloud based big data environment.
Comfortable in Python’s analytics landscape, including pyspark, pandas, numpy, streamlit, and seaborn

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Manage the data analysis and design of analytics products across a focused area of the Nike business value stream to enable data driven business decisions that will drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals
Serve as a domain specialist on data and business processes within an area of focus.
Translate sophisticated business requirements into data requirements and work with internal customers to define data requirement details based on expressed partner needs
Perform extensive data profiling and root cause analysis to understand data behavior and business rules
Document data architecture solutions, business requirements, training material and business processes for both business and technical audiences
Lead structured, end-to-end analysis to advise product strategy, data architecture and reporting decisions
Analyze existing datasets and interfaces to understand and detail current state data architectures
Design future state data architectures by applying data requirements, data profiles and business rules to current state architectures in alignment with best practices and standards
Support standard methodologies in data analysis: data integrity, unit testing, data quality control, system integration testing, modeling, validation, and documentation
Develop data processing pipelines, queries and data visualizations to fulfill analysis requests
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work in a product squad model led by a Product Manager and consisting of data scientists, data analysts, engineers and visualization developers. You will collaborate across our broader organization with business teams as well as other data, analytics and technology functions at Nike.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Technology, Computer Science or other related fields preferred, or a combination of education and experience in related fields
3+ years of experience designing Data Warehousing, BI, or Analytics solutions
Business process competence and ability to map processes to data models and architectures
Experience in dimensional modeling
Expert level proficiency in SQL
Experience analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets
Proven track record of developing structured analysis that support data architecture design
Experience with implementing data pipelines using function/object-oriented languages including Python, Scala, and Java
Experience defining data architectures to support data visualization tools such as Seaborn, Tableau, IBM Cognos, and PowerBI
Experience defining data architectures to support semantic data layers, such as SSAS Cubes/Tabular and Cognos Packages.
Solid understanding of various database management systems like Oracle, MySQL, Teradata, Snowflake, SQL Server, or DB2
Working understanding of Agile methodologies and principles such as Scrum, LEAN, Kanban, and XP Programming, and how they’re applied in workplace culture
Experience with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS.
Experience with Big Data and NoSQL technologies like Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Hive
