Employer will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering and 2 years of work experience in a visualization engineer occupation or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering and 5 years of progressive work experience in a visualization engineer occupation.
Experience must include the following: Advanced data visualization skills such as Tableau Desktop, Microsoft Power BI or Congnos BI; Complex problem-solving skills related to BI and Analytics; Data foundation including Demand, Inventory and Supply Planning, MMX/Product Data, PCX; Automating BI processes such as Alteryx, or Autosys; Tableau skills; Database and reporting skills such as SQL, Cognos, Snowflake, or Teradata; and Design Thinking, Lean and Agile methodologies.
NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Create complex, advanced calculations that address the imperfect nature of data for landing concepts such as productive models, social media trends, and market performance. Ability to effectively engage with business stakeholders and translate business requirements into high impact reports and visualizations. Work with the Data Engineering team to source, ingest, and prepare data for use in reports and visualizations. Work with business partners to gather requirements and business objectives. Build reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools that meet and exceed business requirements and drive our business forward. Develop advanced dashboards and reports per business requirements. Enhance and optimize existing portfolio of dashboards and reports as needed. Address ad-hoc requests for data to support MVPs or proofs of concept. Consult within Global Product and Merchandising Analytics on data visualization best practices. Act as the primary point of contact for all Tableau Server maintenance issues. Manage projects from end to end (project timelines, development, validation, UAT, roll out, and production support). Deliver solutions on quick timelines and manage scope changes that are expected as part of the ever-changing product game plan. Interface with end users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specs.
