Nike Director, SCI Youth Sport Research & Innovation in Beaverton, Oregon

Who we are looking for

The SCI Youth Sport and Innovation director will be tasked with leveraging research, data and proof points to break barriers in youth sport. They will also lead building and creation of experience and tools that support the global NIKE Inc goal that will create Future of Youth Sport. The Director will reinforce our strategic alignment and communication across a number of functions within Nike, optimizing the awareness and impact of these important elements of community work. Further, the Director will develop and maintain external relationships to continue to build our knowledge and networks in these communities, enhancing the current work and driving opportunities for the future.

What you bring

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships in SCI, across Nike, and with external partners and collaborators.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategy, implement tools and processes, as well as apply systems effectively to achieve sustainable results. The successful candidate will be able to play at a high level in the organization, while also showing the aptitude and appetite to roll up their sleeves and get the critical tactical work done.

  • Previous experience in building and supporting internal and external relationship portfolios is highly preferred. Prior experience in grantmaking is also a plus.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communicator. Ability to simplify the complex and communicate effectively and efficiently to senior Nike leaders.

  • Comfortable using of presentation tools such as Keynote and Powerpoint.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize against multiple priorities, delivering with high quality and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training

  • 7+ years of experience leading people.

  • Travel <10% nationally and internationally

What you will work on

  • Creation of best in class measurement framework around Girls/Coaching for the Future of Youth Sport

  • Establish KPIs to monitor target progression and drive the implementation process within SCI

  • Innovation through youth sport data findings, outcomes and use of those results.

  • Establishing standardized methodologies for data integrations:

  • Network across SCI, Nike Sport Research Lab, Women, Kids, and Consumer Insights, etc

  • Synthesize and share standard processes across girls and coaching globally, for FY30 Open Source Global Resource

  • Translation of this body of work to the Future of Youth Sport Coalition and building of tools for them to contribute to the work

  • Coordination across other functions of SCI to ensure collaboration
