Job Description
General Purpose:
Prepare, season, and cook a wide range of foods, which may include soups, salads, entrees, and desserts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow recipes, controls, portion, and presentation specifications set by The Creamery
Ensure the freshness of food and ingredients
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
Bake, grill, or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
Boil and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
Arrange, garnish, and sometimes serve food
Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes
Cook, handle, and store food or ingredients
Follow all safety and sanitation procedures when handling food and working with kitchen equipment

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
Training related to culinary field and/or 1+ years of related work experience
Certification and/or License – Culinary and food safety certifications preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Passion for food and culinary skills
Able to understand orders and follow recipes to prepare dishes correctly
Knowledge of food, quality, production, sanitation, presentation, and food cost control
Customer service skills, including the ability handle challenging or conflict situations with tact and professionalism
Basic troubleshooting skills for the repair and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment
Attention to detail and able to multi-task
Problem solving skills
Able to communicate clearly and effectively
Must be able to read, write and speak English
