Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Pilot Unmanned Aerial Vehicle to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Beale AFB, CA.
Essential Functions:
Deliver formal training unit instruction in laboratory and classroom environments.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) to include, but not limited to formal student training, airmanship, aircraft systems & performance and development and execution of operational training guides.
Conduct briefing and debriefing and coordinate with maintenance personnel to analyze and correct discrepancies.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years aviation experience; OR Masters’ degree with 6 years aviation experience; OR a PhD with 4 years aviation experience
UAV flight experience and/or Military flight experience. Minimum of 500 hours as Pilot in Command and able to maintain pilot currency.
Experience with crew/cockpit resource management (CRM)
Ability to obtain and maintain Class II FAA Physical or better.
Active TS/SCI required with an active investigation in the last 5 years and the ability to acquire and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) per business requirements. This PAR must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
FAA instrument rated pilot (or military equivalent).
Flight test operations experience
Formal Training Unit instructor experience is highly desired.
Salary Range: $139,700 - $209,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
