Pamlico Community College HVAC Instructor in Bayboro, North Carolina
Under the supervision of Chair of Continuing Education and Technical Programs, the HVAC instructor must be able to:
- Demonstrate competencies in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration
- Provide quality instruction
- Create an optimum learning environment
- Model exceptional employability skills
- Prepare and execute daily lessons that align with industry standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- HVAC Certification
- Industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize courses
- Ability to work with a diverse population
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Prior community college teaching experience
Essential Job Functions:
- Academic Tasks
- Teach classes as assigned.
- Demonstrate that instructional goals and learning outcomes have been clearly set and defined.
- Detail means by which instructional goals and learning outcomes have been assessed and achieved.
- Distribute and follow course guide/syllabus.
- Demonstrate that timely feedback on tests, papers, and other assignments has been adequately delivered.

- Participate in development of course objectives and learning outcomes and in development/selection, and ordering of learning materials.
- Take active role in development and implementation of academic discipline and department goals.
- Participate in scheduled program, division, advisory committee, and college meetings.
