Job Details The Diabetes Education Program Receptionist provides administrative support for CH Diabetes Education and Endocrinology Program by providing patient appointments, answering phone calls and assisting with insurance verification for all American Diabetes Association (ADA) diabetes education program locations. Assist in all office workflow functions, ordering supplies and oversight. DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in insurance verification for all patients scheduled with a Diabetes Care and Education Specialists in one of our ADA recognized Diabetes Education Center locations. Maintains the Diabetes Education Management Program shared drive Schedule patient visits to Diabetes Education Program Maintains accurate filing/record keeping systems Orders equipment and supplies as needed for the daily function of the diabetes education center programs Maintains excellent communication with internal staff members and with representatives from other departments and outside parties Conducts herself/himself in conformity with all Compliance Assurance Standards Performs related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested Employee conducts himself/herself in conformity with the HIPAA Compliance Program and applicable institutional policies and procedures for patient privacy. POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent typing skills Proficient in Word and Excel; Power Point preferred Strong organizational skills Ability to handle matters of a confidential nature Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work well with others and function in a team oriented environment Two (2) years related experience; healthcare preferred Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required Salary Range USD $19.39 - USD $27.14 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
