Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking skilled Machinists for our 2nd and 3rd shifts. This position involves setting up machines using methods such as edge finders and indicators. You will be responsible for qualifying first-piece production through inspections, fine-tuning, and operating machines to perform accurate and efficient operations on projects with close and exacting tolerances and high-resolution aesthetics. You will work with a variety of equipment including 3 Axis / Fadal, Okuma, Makino, and Mazak Mills, as well as 5 Axis / Hurco and Mikron. Controller types include Heidenhein, Fanuc, Okuma, Hurco, Makino Pro 5 & Pro 6, and Fadal. Machining will be conducted with both manual and CNC machines.
Responsibilities
Set up machines using edge finders and indicators.
Qualify first-piece production through inspections.
Fine-tune and operate machines for accurate and efficient operations.
Work with a variety of equipment including 3 Axis / Fadal, Okuma, Makino, Mazak Mills, and 5 Axis / Hurco and Mikron.
Operate controllers such as Heidenhein, Fanuc, Okuma, Hurco, Makino Pro 5 & Pro 6, and Fadal.
Perform machining with both manual and CNC machines.
Essential Skills
3-10 years of CNC Machining experience.
Ability to read blueprints, set up own machine, and inspect parts.
Proficiency in machining, G and M codes, and CNC Machining.
Experience with equipment such as Okuma, Fadal, Fanuc, Mazak, Calipers, Mill, Lathe, and Micrometer.
High School Diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Completion of Trade School.
5 years of machinist experience.
Aerospace and Defense experience.

Work Environment
You will work 2nd shift from 2pm – 10pm or 3rd shift from 10pm – 6am. Overtime is currently available on a voluntary basis. We are a large production shop that employs 160+ machinists and engineers, specializing in precision machining for the automotive and aerospace industries.
