Accounting Assistant:

Licensed Certified Public Accountant in Bay City, Michigan with many years of professional accounting experience Is seeking an accounting Assistant. This privately owned business provides individuals, businesses and organizations financial guidance, preparation and filings of tax documents, consulting and financial bookkeeping.

Role Description:

This is a full time, on-site role as an Accounting Assistant located in Bay City, MI. The accounting assistant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, such as organizing financiall records and preparing financial reports. They will also handle administrative duties, including managing appointments scheduling meetings and handling correspondence. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and knowledge of accounting principles and software.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (some college is preferred).
  • Previous experience (minimum 3 years) in accounting or administrative role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Quick books) and MS office suite.
  • Previous experience in Payroll and Payroll tax returns.
  • Knowledge of Sales and Income Tax returns
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentially and handle sensitive information
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
