SCR Residential HVAC Technician/Installer in Baxter, Minnesota

Our Core Values Perseverance / Integrity / Family / Stability / Competency Roles and Responsibilities Have a basic understanding of the mechanical and electrical components that operate and drive HVAC equipment, including bot not limited to heat pumps, mini-split systems, forced air heating, central air conditioning, geothermal, and boilers Install equipment or parts and perform maintenance on HVAC equipment Perform customer-based activities which require an individual to possess traits of decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgement, integrity, dependability, and the ability to communicate in a credible and professional manner Serve as a member of the SCR team displaying timely, efficient, and profitable accomplishment of jobs and tasks Perform supervised and limited unsupervised basic HVAC tasks, i.e. repairs and basic troubleshooting of equipment Additional Responsibilities Perform other allied duties as assigned by supervisor Perform progressively more difficult technical roles as time and skill set progress Attend and perform continuing education and training as provided Minimum Requirements Has completed or is in the process of completing a degree in residential HVAC or 2-5 years of on-the-job training Must have a PLT license or register with the state as a Registered Unlicensed PLT within 90 days of start date, and maintain either status Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a neat and clean professional appearance Ability to lift up to100 pounds as necessary and up to 50 pounds repetitively Ability to climb up and down a ladder carrying tools, equipment, and/or parts in a safe manner Ability to work efficiently given time pressures, non-standard schedule, extreme weather conditions, varying customer needs and demands, and back-log constraints Knowledge of and proven skills in accurately diagnosing and efficiently accomplishing a job to the mutual benefit of the customer and the organization EPA certification or ability to obtain within 180 days Mechanical ability and excellent problem-solving skills Current, valid driver's license Interest and initiative in installing and/or servicing HVAC systems through a combination of self-study, workshops, and other developmental activities What's in it for you Health insurance with a company-match HSA Company-paid Dental, Life, and Short-Term Disability insurance 401k/Profit Sharing Vacation and holiday pay Being a valued and appreciated team member of a premier family-owned company EEO/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled
