Location: Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang

Working hour: Shift Pattern: Normal (8 hours) (Sunday-Friday), Time: 9.00AM-6.00PM

Off day: Saturday off day

About the Role:

As a CBRE Painter, you will be responsible for protecting, preparing, and painting both interior and exterior surfaces.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the general operation, repair and maintenance of the building’s structure and grounds.

  • Perform interior preparation, painting, touch-up, and finishing of areas in need of commercial-level painting. Working under close supervision, utilize several trade skills such as patching, painting, and finishing.

  • Use necessary tools and equipment to complete duties related to the application of varnish, polyurethane, primer paint, and other specialty coatings.

  • Repair and remodel imperfections. This includes masking, preparing, and protecting surfaces to ensure facilities are properly maintained.

  • Review assigned work orders. estimate time and order materials, equipment, tools to complete assigned work.

  • Work with other craftsmen to complete various projects or repairs.

  • Collaborate with employees, end users and stakeholders concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired.

  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.

  • Participate in all required HSE-related programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.

  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.

  • Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.

  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.

  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 2-5 years' work experience as a painter.

  • Experienced and knowledgeable with painting task such as plastic emulsion paint, polishing, wall distemper, acrylic emulsion paint, cement paints, primer coats, water proofing paints, synthetic enamel paints, lacquer paint, polishing on brick cladding and plastering.
