Overview:

The Staff Development Instructor plays a pivotal role as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for scientific inquiry, and partner for practice transitions. This comprehensive role at Team Bronson offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment while fostering personal and professional growth.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a BSN or BS with a major in nursing required; MSN or MS with a major in nursing preferred.
  • Five years of clinical experience in relevant specialty areas.
  • Teaching experience and certification highly desirable.
  • Must hold a valid Michigan state nursing license in good standing.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license for roles requiring system coverage.
  • BLS certification required within orientation period; BLS Instructor status required within one year of hire.
  • Advanced life support Instructor status determined by departmental needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with all healthcare team members.
  • Deliver education efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide clinical orientation and ongoing education to designated department(s), ensuring standardization and best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison with local schools for clinical placement purposes.
  • Learning Facilitator: Bridging knowledge and skill gaps through educational design.
  • Change Agent: Actively driving process transformation at various levels.
  • Mentor: Contributing to the professional development of others.
  • Leader: Influencing practice and learning environments.
  • Champion for Scientific Inquiry: Promoting evidence-based practices.
  • Advocate for NPD Specialty: Supporting the advancement of nursing professional development.
  • Partner for Practice Transitions: Assisting in transitions across learning and practice environments.
  • Serve as an expert resource on ECC issues and protocols.
  • Conduct Instructor courses adhering to AHA guidelines.
  • Monitor Course Directors and Training Center Faculty.
  • Schedule Instructors for Life Support programs.
  • Assist as an Instructor for Life Support programs.
  • Oversee improvements and regulatory compliance of Life Support programs.
