About the Role

As the HR Analyst, you will be pivotal in administering our employee benefit programs and payroll processes within the division. This role gives you the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on our employees' lives by ensuring their benefits and payroll are handled efficiently and accurately. You will also aid in analyzing our departmental key metrics and propose solution opportunities. With a thorough understanding of benefits, payroll regulations, and compliance, as well as strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, you will be a vital part of our HR team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage benefit enrollments, including educating employees on benefits options, eligibility, and enrollment procedures. Resolve employee payroll and benefits issues and provide exceptional customer service to employees.

  • Manage multiple projects and deliverables while treating team members with dignity and respect per the Magna Employee’s Charter and Core Values.

  • Participate in payroll system implementations, define requirements, prepare test plans, and document test results.

  • Maintain accurate records of employee benefit plans and keep all employee data confidential and secure. You will update the HRIS (Workday) by regularly updating employee information and ensuring all information is current.

  • Administer benefits programs, including health benefits, COBRA, insurance for life and disability (short-term and long-term), employee and family assistance, workers’ compensation, unemployment, etc. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other state and federal regulations. Assist in gathering data and preparing the profit-sharing report to be submitted to the corporation.

  • Prepare analytical reports on employee metrics to identify trends and improvement areas.

  • Maintain a high profile with Employees on the plant floor and be a strong advocate to ensure the timely resolution of Employee concerns and issues

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience

  • HR Certification preferred (SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR)

Three or more years of experience in the human resources field, preferably in a manufacturing environment
