[We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Janitor/Floor Maintenance Technician. As a vital member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facility's floors. This role requires expertise in various floor maintenance techniques, including sweeping, dust mopping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and refinishing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. [ [ [Responsibilities: [ [- Perform routine sweeping, dust mopping, and mopping of all floor surfaces to remove dirt, debris, and spills efficiently. [ [- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors, ensuring they are free from stains, scuffs, and marks. [ [- Operate floor buffing machines to enhance the shine and luster of hard floor surfaces, providing a polished and professional appearance. [ [- Execute floor stripping and refinishing processes as needed, including the removal of old wax or finish, applying new finish coats, and buffing to achieve a high-gloss finish. [ [- Inspect floors regularly to identify and address any damages, cracks, or safety hazards promptly, reporting maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel. [ [- Maintain and organize cleaning equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and ready for use at all times. [ [- Adhere to established safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment. [ [- Collaborate with the janitorial team to ensure overall cleanliness and tidiness of the facility, assisting with other tasks as needed. [ [ [Qualifications: [ [- Previous experience in janitorial or floor maintenance roles is preferred. [ [- Solid knowledge of various floor types and their respective cleaning and maintenance requirements. [ [- Proficiency in utilizing floor cleaning equipment, including sweepers, dust mops, wet mops, buffers, and stripping machines. [ [- Understanding of different cleaning agents, chemicals, and floor finishes, along with their appropriate usage and safety precautions. [ [- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively. [ [- Strong attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality results. [ [- Excellent time management and organizational skills. [ [- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods. [ [- Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and reporting maintenance needs.
