Performs and assists radiologists in performing radiographic procedures, obtaining films of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures. .
STATUS: Part-Time
LOCATION: United Memorial Medical Center
DEPARTMENT: Radiology
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8hr Shifts, Days/Evenings/Nights, weekends on call
ATTRIBUTES
- 2 years college certificate in radiologic technology or equivalent
- Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
- NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT) required within 1 year of hire.
- Excellent patient service skills
- Critical thinking skills, attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Exceptional documentation/computer skills and professional behavior
- Patient Care. Responsible for radiography of patients, including CT scans and Interventional CT guided procedures; provide on-call coverage for CT section of Radiology; follow up on patient care issues/needs
- Documentation. Maintain accountability for proper documentation of exams and procedures; document performance of studies in patient charts
- Daily Maintenance. Assist with day-to-day supervision of the CT team; clean, restock and prepare rooms
- AAS: Radiologic Technology (Required)
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- R - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
