NEW GRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES - ED Fellowship
The emergency department can be exciting and exhilarating.At Rochester Regional, we have some of the busiest emergency departments in the state, outside of New York City. Our ED fellowships, available only to recent nursing graduates, give you the opportunity to experience this fast-paced environment and determine if it's right for you.
The ED Fellowship features:
- A full time, one-year commitment
- Six months of rotations on various units
- Six months exclusively in the Emergency Department
- Opportunity to work closely with, and learn from, an experienced nurse preceptor

LOCATION: United Memorial Medical Center
DEPARTMENT: Various/Emergency Room
SCHEDULE: Day/Evening/Night; Every Other Weekend & Every Other Holiday per unit requirements

- Patient Care & Service: Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; performing various treatment procedures; providing physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervising assigned team members
- Planning & Communication: Develop and document individualized care plans customized for each patient's unique needs, with support from the interdisciplinary health team as needed; maintain effective communication to convey patient health status, treatment plans and progress
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management: Demonstrate proficient use of an EHR - including accurate patient and provider documentation and communication
- Compliance: Adhere to required department and system protocols, regulations (local, state, federal) and education requirements
- AS: Nursing (Required)
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
