Job Overview:

Responsible for all daily operational E & I activities for the area allocated. Assisting Superintendent planning and managing the work to ensure completion of the work in accordance to the agreed requirements. Must ensure compliance with QHSES and Ethics policy.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Performing duties/ tasks in accordance to McDermott Code and Business Conduct and applicable policies

  • Setting and applying work in accordance to the approved procedure and take necessary action(s) to rectify the non-conformance work

  • Utilizing the most update Project Plan to plan the work for his crew in 4 (four) weeks ahead, and communicate as well as monitoring its progress against the plan

  • Forecasting the resources (manpower, equipment etc.) required for the planned works and communicating the need to Superintendent and/or Management to ensure availability of the equipment and/or tools

  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing Facility/Shop equipment such as Overhead Crane, Bending Roll machine, Electric compressor, Power Generator, Portable Hand Tool etc. and ensure they are running well

  • Maintaining the manhours booking based on the estimated manhours per work-packs and report the weekly progress to Superintendents and Production Engineers

  • Ensuring that the whole team members are aware of the proper tools and equipment to be used as well as the proper and safe way to use it

  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all Building Equipment’s, machinery and tools have been checked / tested, passed and Fit for production

  • Brief the crew every morning on the target and expected output of the day as well as highlighting the safety concern of the activities and capture them on to HIT card

  • Responsible for understanding precise instructions and the suitably rated equipment required to carry out the instruction is available

  • Monitoring and provide weekly equipment and delinquency report as well as preventive maintenance work order

  • Responsible and accountable for the maintenance of E&I equipment and materials which have been allocated to his discipline within the department

  • Setting clear target for everyone reporting to him and communicating it clearly on timely manner

  • Identify and remove from site immediately any tools or devices which are unsafe, damaged or defective

  • Provide the latest updated work progress to be used by the whole team member and ensure their understanding towards the drawing before performing the work

  • Organized meetings/ briefings on regular basis and/or when necessary to ensure the whole team members are well informed on any direction/ change in work and/or arrangement

  • Communicate any issues and/or concerns to his superiors on timely manner and provide recommendation(s) for improvement

  • Evaluate and address issue(s)/ concern(s) of poor performance, productivity, attitude in timely manner and take appropriate action to ensure no recurring issue

  • Conduct regular audit (check) on the compliancy of procedure implementation (related to maintenance process

  • Completing the required BBSM target assigned to him in timely manner and taking the ownership of the team’s safety by promoting the observation process to improve the team safety awareness

  • Reviewing Task Risk Assessment (TRA) with his foreman when required and ensure it is discussed with the team members

  • Responsible to promote and set example of good housekeeping in work area

  • Monitor and control the provision Maintain and manage the work permit of the team member, for confined space works

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Snr. High School / Diploma

  • 10 Years experience as Electrical Supervisor
