Job Overview:
Conduct business & perform duties/tasks in accordance with McDermott's, Code of Business Conduct, HSES and McDermott's Quality Policies. Responsible to ensure all necessary precautions and isolation are done prior to commencement of work. Continually review and institute measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures/work instructions. Confirm that all safety precautions and mandatory requirements are satisfactorily in place prior to task commencement. Possess a good understanding of the HSE Policy, Philosophy & Procedures. High standard of safe work practice, quality and productivity. Responsible for reporting any incidents or near misses to Foreman or Supervisor immediately. Ensure compliance with HSE policy and any Overriding Company Policies.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Inspect, Identify and remove from site immediately any tools or devices which are unsafe, damaged or defective (Report to Laborer Foreman)
Foster a practice a safety-first culture within the Laborer crew
Responsible and accountable for ensuring that good housekeeping discipline is employed at all times
Attend/ participate in all Toolbox talks
Responsible for understanding precise instructions and ensuring the work adhering to the drawings, specifications/procedures also to ensure the work is commencing based on the IFC drawings
Responsible for understanding instruction fully before carrying out operations
Understand to do repair work related to the civil and interior work
Report to Foreman in a timely manner any obstacles which are likely to impede the crew 's ability to meet targets
Understand of how to make wood wedges in accordance with the work instruction
Responsible to understand that reinforcing bar is not allowed to be welded
Responsible to carry maintenance work in buildings and offices with minimum disruption to the occupant
Responsible in doing any excavation work as per safety requirement
To ensure that all tools is stored properly and safe
Responsible to record what tools have been issued and to whom
Ensure that all tools are in safe and good working condition and to return the broken or damaged tools to Maintenance
To do daily and monthly checklist of Body Harness and to record the issue of the usage
To maintain grass by performing grass cutting/ herbicide spraying at all yard
To maintain the cleanliness of yard of general rubbish bins, scrub bins, B3 waste bins and food waste bins as well as parking lot area
To maintain the cleanliness and to do drainage cleaning at all yard as per the schedule
To conduct insecticide spraying as per schedule or request and ensure the work is handled safely
To provide support or assistance for offices relocation as per work order request
Report to Foreman in a timely manner any obstacles which are likely to impede the crew's ability to meet targets
Understand to do repair and preventive maintenance related to steel work

Responsible to ensure the work output has a good quality and in accordance to the drawing or specification
Understand to do cutting or welding process and maintaining tools or equipment’s that related to the steel work
Responsible to understand about Batam Yard Permanent Pipe Color Coding in accordance with work instruction
Understand to do water treatment process/coagulation process and sand filtering system
Monitoring water pumps, water storage tanks and provide daily record of water level to foreman
Ensure that the minimum and maximum of stock levels of chemicals are maintained and available for use at all times
Maintain the cleanliness/hygienist of swimming pool area and facilities
Responsible for reporting any incidents or near misses to Foreman or Supervisor immediately
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Minimum Senior High School graduate
Possess relevant experience
