Washington County Mental Health Services Residential Behavior Interventionist in Barre, Vermont
For more than 50 years, Washington County Mental Health Services (WCMHS) has served the Washington County community and the Orange County towns of Orange, Washington, and Williamstown. WCMHS provides education, support, and treatment of individuals and families living with mental health challenges, substance use issues, and developmental and intellectual disabilities. * This is a non-exempt position, offering a base hourly rate of pay of $23.13 - $24.28, and an annualized rate of $48,110.40 - $50,502.40, based on a 40-hour work week. *
Residential Behavior Interventionists
Our Residential program is family centered, trauma informed and customizes care for each person we serve. Our Behavioral Interventionists are the key component to making the impact of our work strong!
Our Behavior Interventionist teams focus on supporting and coaching children and youth with emotional or behavioral problems attributed to depression, anxiety, addiction, autism, ADHD, OCD, etc. We do this by implementing personal programming and activities that are defined by individual treatment plans, by maintaining progress reports, and providing each resident with daily living support.
Competitive Wages:
Day, evening, night, swing shifts, and custom schedules that fit almost any lifestyle.
Base rate of pay between $23.13 - $24.28, based on experience.
Annualized rate (40hrs/wk.)- $48,110.40 - $50,502.40- before stipends and shift differentials!
Shift differentials ranging from $1.50 - $2.50 per hour.
Holiday differential ranging from $4.00 - $6.50 per hour.
Sign-on bonus $5000 for full-time staff.
Quarterly attendance stipend ranging from $500 - $650.

Qualifications/ Requirements:
1 year of experience from a combination of life skills, experience and/or trainings
21 years of age or older.
Valid Driver’s License, personal vehicle and adequate insurance coverage
Good references, strong reliable work and team work ethic
To manage the physical safety of client & others, which includes:
Willingness to learn and implement crisis de-escalation and passive restraint techniques and physically restrain children & youth who are a danger to self or others.
Must be able to complete Handle with Care training.
Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds.
