Melett Ltd, a Wabtec Company (http://www.WabtecCorp.com), are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their team in Barnsley.

Melett Ltd supply precision-engineered turbochargers, core assemblies, repair kits and individual turbo components to the professional turbocharger aftermarket. Founded in 1995, Melett Ltd is the trusted aftermarket brand for precision engineered turbochargers and turbo repair parts and is renowned for producing OE quality products. In 2017 Melett Ltd was acquired by Wabtec Corporation, a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions and value-added services for freight and transit rail.

Role: Warehouse Operative (Nights)

Salary: £ Competitive

Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S75 1HT

Hours: Monday to Thursday - 7.00pm - 6.00am (with a 1 hour break)

Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time

What you will be doing:

Dealing with deliveries and associated paperwork

Locating stock into racking

Work closely with Quality control to ensure product quality is maintained at required level.

Dealing with returned goods from the customer and suppliers

Picking items from computer generated pick lists

Packing and labelling of finished goods

General housekeeping duties

To participate in stock taking and cycle counts

Essential Skills:

Good communication skills

Excellent team working skills

Ability to work accurately to deadlines

3-5 years of working in a busy Warehouse Operation

Desirable Skills:

Experience of working with Warehouse Management Systems

Knowledge of turbochargers

Clean driving licence

Bendy truck licence

Current forklift truck licence
