As Business Application Manager you are part of Sectional Doors & Components (SDC) part of the business segment Residential within ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems. SDC is one of the two Business Areas in the Residential Segment, and its product offering covers single components, hardware sets, complete doors and automation solutions.
In this position you report to the Manager IT SDC, and you are based in Barneveld Netherlands.
What you will be doing
As Business Application Manager you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all functional and application-related activities (ERP and other systems) within SDC EMEA. You will act as the bridge between business requirements and IT solutions, managing smaller projects and contributing to larger projects and project teams.
Your key responsibilities are:
Develop technology strategies and standards in collaboration with project teams to implement future-proof technologies.
Deeply understand the impact of business requirements and translate them into IT solutions.
Act as the link between SDC teams and IT solution architects for ERP-related business requirements.
Support in gathering and translating functional requirements for implementation.
Manage investments and operational costs for new technology implementations.
Design high-level application and technology architecture (IT landscape) for application portfolios and program initiatives.
Provide subject matter expert guidance and mentoring to team members.
Find innovative solutions to optimize system functionality.
Coordinate and plan ERP-related projects and activities in cooperation with business and project teams, following divisional policies.
Manage ERP-related Change Requests.
Coordinate support for ERP-related applications.
Oversee subcontractors' work to ensure objectives are met and budget targets are maintained.
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions if deviations occur.
Act as a contact point for project teams and consult with business owners, project teams, and other stakeholders.
Test project results and, after achieving project objectives, transfer knowledge and documents to the organization.
Maintain PMO activities within the PMO portfolio board.
What we are looking for
You’re good at meeting deadlines and thriving in an international environment.
You can handle multiple projects at once and keep everything on track.
You can work with and lead teams, even without formal authority.
You know how to connect business needs to IT solutions, especially around ERP systems.
You’ve got strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Furthermore:
2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
A degree in business management or something similar (or equivalent experience).
Solid skills in MS Project, Excel, Visio, and PMO tools.
Experience with process mapping and tools like TOGAF.
Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
