NOVA Technologies Configuration Manager in Barksdale Afb, Louisiana

Summary/Objective

The Configuration Manager will be responsible for Configuration Management (CM) control, including receipt, logging, and distribution of all mission planning software, data, files, and documentation as well as security management for the B-52 TS Program.

Configuration Management

  • Responsible for building, maintaining and configuration control of B-52 TS software baselines.

``` - Plan, execute, and supervise revisions and updates to the B-52 TS formal software baselines.

``` - Responsible for configuration management planning.

``` - Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.

``` - Troubleshoot and help resolve errors encountered during software builds.

```{=html}

``` - Responsible for scheduling training activities, developing structured procedures for completing tasks within area of responsibility, and coordinating with other supervisors for outside assistance.

``` - Responsible for assignment or reassignment of tasks, regulating schedules, and evaluating performance.

``` - Responsible for reporting progress on all activities within area of responsibility.

``` - Other duties as required.

Industrial Security Management

  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities specific to the B-52 TS program operations.

``` - Create, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures including protocols for access control, emergency response, and incident management.

``` - Oversee security aspects of vendor and contractor activities ensuring adherence to security policies and procedures.

``` - Other duties as required.

Competencies

Required skills and abilities to effectively perform this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to manage and control changes to configurations.

``` - Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze root cause, and implement corrective actions.

``` - Competence in analyzing configuration data, trends, and performance metrics.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or related field. An equivalent combination of education and years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.

``` - 3-8 years' experience as a CM on a software development team or completion of CM training.

```{=html}

``` - Familiarity with configuration control board procedures and/or Agency Review Board (ARB)/ Engineering Requirements Board (ERB) desired.

``` - Knowledge of hardware, software, and network configurations and how they interact.

```{=html}

``` - Experience with version control systems and processes to track changes and management configurations.

```{=html}

``` - A thorough understanding and knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) including configuration identification, controls, status accounting, and auditing practices.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Systems Engineering preferred.

Preferred Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations

  • CDM (Configuration and Data Management certification

``` - CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will have authority or responsibility for the leadership and supervision o others.

Work Environment, Programs, and Tools

While working in an office environment, this position will frequently be required to sit, talk, listen, use eye acuity, be on camera, and use hands/fingers to grasp or type. This position will also occasionally require walking and standing.

This position will also frequently require the individual to use the following tools, equipment, or programs: CM tools and software, Computer, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, Deltek Costpoint.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position will be on site at Barksdale AFB, LA and will require adherence to the Government site hours of operation. This position is a full time salaried-exempt position, expected to work at least 80 hours a payroll period. This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of the normal hours of operations when needed to support Program or B-52 TS Program security management and emergency response.

Travel

Must be willing and able to travel. Significant travel is not expected for this position.?

Security Clearance

Must have an active DoD Secret Personnel Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one within the first 6-months of employment.
