JOB SUMMARY
The Hanger is responsible for creating
the hangers used to hang pipe in varying projects that the company completes.
This job must be done in a timely and accurate manner, while working with small
details and intricate designs. This job requires the ability and
desire to work in a fast paced multi tasked environment with a focus towards
detail and accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ø Pick materials needed
to complete each project
Ø Read and interpret
blueprints/sketches to measure and cut rod accordingly
Ø Assemble pipe hangers
efficiently and accurately
Ø Bag, bundle, and band materials
as directed
Ø Input information into
computer
Ø Interpret information already in computer
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, use hands to grasp and use fingers to move and/or feel objects. The employee is frequently required to hear, lift, and reach for objects. The employee may be infrequently required to sit, walk, talk, pull/push, and stoop. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color vision. The physical strength rating of this position is classified as light work which entails exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly. Eye protection, feet protection, and leg protection are required. Operation of a computer keyboard, and hand calculator may be required. Operation of power and/or manual hand tools and shop machinery is required. Understanding of addition and subtraction, shop math, and simple drawings is required.
