Job Description:
This State Projects Construction Superintendent position will be responsible for overseeing construction activities for the Regional Program in MaineDOT’s Region 4.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating/managing people, materials, equipment, budgets, schedules and contracts;
Ensuring the safety of employees and the general public;
Supervising and assigning work to engineering technical personnel in the completion of complex construction projects on collector roads in designated geographic areas, and,
Managing schedules and budgets in order to ensure timely delivery of assigned projects in the Regional Program
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
Twelve (12) years of experience in highway maintenance and construction or engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in an allied technical field and four (4) years of engineering experience -OR- an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field and eight (8) years of related experience including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
