Covenant Health RADIOLOGIC/CT TECHNOLOGIST in Bangor, Maine

The starting rate for this position is:$31.84/hr

Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.

Position Summary:

Responsibilities include: Operates all radiographic equipment to perform x-rays, including surgical and portable equipment. Operates CT equipment which produces cross sectional images that are used for diagnostic purposes. Ability to work with post processing to create 3D imaging. Ability to operate power injector for the delivery of contrast. Consistently obtain high quality imaging for Radiologist interpretation. General understanding of PACS (Picture Archive Communications System) and its function. Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques-ALARA, shielding and knowledge of exposure factors. Documents patient care services in hospital records. Able to interact compassionately and effectively with the sick or injured. Supports and promotes the values and mission of the organization. Courteous interaction with co-workers/peers.

Requirements:

Education: Two year college (Associate’s Degree) Trade or Technical School (Certificate or diploma)

Years of Experience: 1 year preferred

Licensure(s): ARRT certified Radiography & State of Maine Radiography

Certification(s): ARRT CT certified preferred

Registration(s): ARRT Radiograph
