The starting rate for this position is: $27.50/hr

Position Summary: The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) provides pulmonary education and exercise to patients diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other related lung diseases. Specific responsibilities include the assessment, planning, treatment, monitoring, and evaluation procedures related to the Phase Two Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. The RCP will design a treatment plan that meets the needs of each patient. The RCP will be responsible for the coordination of interdisciplinary services from Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietary, and/or Social Services if needed to assist in the plan of care. Upon completion of the Phase Two program, the RCP will be responsible for transitioning the patient toward a Phase Three exercise program. The RCP will also coordinate monthly Better Breather Support Group meetings. Monthly team meetings are held with the Medical Director to review patients and their progress in the program. Any new patient issues will be addressed at this meeting. Licensure(s):
Licensed in the state of Maine as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Technician (CRT).
Certification(s):
BLS certification.
