Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy, experienced program in Bangor, Maine. This opportunity is ideal for an advanced practitioner who is looking for a professionally challenging, collaborative team environment!
Details:
Work side by side with talented surgeons and team members on all cardiothoracic cases
Complete inpatient rounding and consults
Perform any minor procedures at bed side if needed with direction of a surgeon
Review lab work and/or tests ordered during the day
Review of pre-op patients and ensure all pre-op orders are processed
Beneficial but not required: ability to read radiological tests such as chest x-rays and CT scans, ability to perform chest tube insertion, central line and arterial line placement, experience with endovascular vein harvesting
