The Role Systems Specialist – Embedded Design for Cytiva is responsible for Working on Embedded Systems design in new product development, Post market design change activities due to component obsolescence, customer complaints and production issues.

This position is part of the Life Sciences Engineering located in Bangalore, India and will be Hybrid work arrangement. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work on Embedded Systems design in new product development, Post market design change activities due to component obsolescence, customer complaints and production issues.

  • Develop innovative design solutions to meet all requirements for function, performance, reliability, serviceability. Also, build system architecture to support future applications.

  • Execute complete design cycle from conceptualization till verification. Also, ensure compliance with Design History File (DHF) and other QMS requirements.

  • Work closely with all cross-functional groups in delivering effective design solution.

  • Develop new firmware, Develop Windows Image, Interface sensors to Microprocessor hardware. Also, implementation of Cyber Security requirements in the Design.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • BE/BTech degree in Electronics or Computer Science with minimum 7+ year experience in Embedded development field.

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting, Windows OS development. Experience in working with SBCs (Single Board Computer). Hands on Source Control Management like Devops and Perforce.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of embedded systems development, RTOS concepts, device drivers and hardware/software integration. Windows Image creation and deployment and customization.

  • Experience working with processors and GPU programming like STM32, Renesas or NXP or equivalent. Knowledge of ARM or x86 assembly, system BIOS, device drivers. Experience with SoC bring-up, platform initialization, Board support package porting, low level drivers for peripherals such as PCIe, I2C, SPI, USB, UARTs etc as well as Memory Management,

  • Experience with Device Drivers and bootloader design to boot from external media such as USB, eMMC, SDCard etc.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with Life Sciences products/Instrumentation. Knowledge of Product life cycle tools (PDM). Knowledge on change control process.

  • Experience with embedded programming in C/C++

  • Knowledge of Cyber Security needs of System. Knowledge of Product Life Cycle and DFx (Design for Serviceability, Manufacturing and so on).
