<p><strong> Senior Software Engineer, Global Supplier Technology</strong></p>
<p><em>Candidates for this position are preferred to be based in Bangalore and will be expected to comply with their team's hybrid work schedule requirements.</em></p>

<p>Wayfair runs the largest custom e-commerce large parcel network in the United States, approximately 1.6 million square meters of logistics space. The nature of the network is inherently a highly variable ecosystem that requires flexible, reliable, and resilient systems to operate efficiently. </p>
<p>We are looking for a passionate Backend Software Engineer to join the Fulfillment Optimization team. This team builds the platforms that determine how customer orders are fulfilled, optimizing for Wayfair profitability and customer delight. A big part of our work revolves around enhancing and scaling customer-facing platforms that provide fulfillment information on our websites, starting at the top of the customer funnel on the search pages all the way through orders being delivered. Throughout this customer journey, we are responsible for maintaining an accurate representation of our dynamic supply chain, determining how different products will fit into boxes, predicting how these boxes will flow through warehouses and trucks, and ultimately surfacing the information our customers need to inform their decision and the details our suppliers and carriers require to successfully execute on the promises made to our customers. We do all of this in milliseconds, thousands of times per second.</p>
<p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Partner with your business stakeholders to provide them with transparency, data, and resources to make informed decisions</li>
<li>Be a technical leader within and across the teams you work with.</li>
<li>Drive high impact architectural decisions and hands-on development, including inception, design, execution, and delivery following good design and coding practices.</li>
<li>Obsessively focus on production readiness for the team including testing, monitoring, deployment, documentation and proactive troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Identify risks and gaps in technical approaches and propose solutions to meet team and project goals.</li>
<li>Create proposals and action plans to garner support across the organization.</li>
<li>Influence and contribute to the team’s strategy and roadmap.</li>
<li>Tenacity for learning - curious, and constantly pushing the boundary of what is possible.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>We Are a Match Because You Have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>9+ years experience in Software Engineering with designing and building large scale<br>platforms.</li>
<li>Experience leading/supervising and/or mentoring engineers, leading code reviews, and<br>establishing best engineering practices.</li>
<li>Passion for leading cross functional projects through collaboration and influencing design<br>decisions.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of modern programming languages such as Java, Python, PHP, C#, Go,<br>Scala, or similar languages.</li>
<li>Ability to develop creative solutions with customer experience and scalability on top of mind.</li>
<li>Experience developing microservices in highly available and large scale distributed systems.</li>
<li>Experience deploying solutions into production within GCP, AWS, Azure or similar cloud<br>platforms</li>
<li>Experience in developing and deploying services/applications in Kubernetes (K8s)</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers, product<br>managers, and business stakeholders alike</li>
