Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Within Azure Data, the big data analytics team provides a range of products that enable data engineers and data scientists to extract intelligence from all data – structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. We build the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Integration pillars of Microsoft Fabric.
The Data developer experience team is hiring software engineers with a passion for developing front-ends and data architecture platforms for storing, managing and analyzing structured and unstructured data. We build flexible and highly scalable web-based experiences that allow organizations to handle large volumes of data using various tools and frameworks to process and analyze the data. The products we build integrates with other data management and analytics tools to provide a comprehensive solution for data engineering and analytics.

Responsibilities
- Develop and design highly reliable web applications and experiences that enable users to interact with complex large-scale data
Versatile and willing to work at all levels of the code stack. While this is a front-end focused role, knowledge of backend and APIs is a plus
Lead by example in producing extensible and maintainable code with a focus on performance, accessibility, reliability and security
Integrate Azure technologies to achieve high scale and reliability.
Review and contribute to the specifications and implementations written by other team members.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
o OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
o OR equivalent experience.
Demonstrated commitment to building great end-user experiences.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to be adaptable and agile in development.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
