The Senior Scrum Master is a servant leader and coach for multiple assigned Agile teams who facilitates Scaled Agile team events and supports teams and ARTs in delivering value. The chosen candidate will be responsible for providing critical support services including, but not limited to, ensuring team members reflect Agile values and principles, enforcing agreed team ground rules, facilitating Agile team ceremonies, and monitoring and reporting on team performance/growth.

This role is for a Senior Scrum Master to serve 3 Cloud Infrastructure Agile teams with team members in India and the U.S.

The candidate will leverage his/her skills to communicate, influence, and negotiate effectively with business and technology stakeholders to align expectations and support assigned teams throughout the iteration.

Job Description

The candidate will leverage his/her skills to communicate, influence, and negotiate effectively with business and technology stakeholders to align expectations and support assigned teams throughout the iteration.

The Huron enterprise is early in its SAFe transformation journey. The ideal candidate has participated in a successful Agile transformation in a cloud infrastructure environment. Furthermore, the candidate must be highly adaptable and open to frequent changes that will occur as Huron matures in the Agile methodology.

A formal certification such as CSM, PMI_ACP, or SAFe Scrum Master is required.

P rimary Responsibilities

  • Act as a servant leader and team coach to support self-organizing and self-managing teams that deliver value to the business.

  • Build high-performing teams, guiding team members in the Agile methodology, making recommendations for improvement, and serving as a role model for others to follow.

  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration,communicating and cooperating across ARTs and Shared Services teams to deliver solutions to the business.

  • Collaborate with and actively support the Release Train Engineer before, during, and after the PI Planning event.

  • Advocate for SAFe Agile principles and best practices while being flexible and adaptable to change.

  • Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration among teams, promoting a culture of collective ownership and continuous improvement.

  • Effectively communicate progress, dependencies, and obstacles to stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and trust.

  • Drive visibility and transparency of key dates, milestones, and dependencies.

  • Demonstrate a strong collaboration mindset and high emotional intelligence, building productive strategic relationships.

  • Facilitate key Agile ceremonieson a recurring schedule to coordinate and sync the teams’ efforts.

  • Eliminate obstacles to team productivity,escalating and tracking any obstacles that cannot be eliminated.

  • Coach team members in the proper creation and movement of user stories in Azure DevOps (ADO).

  • Create and share ADO dashboards, queries, and other data-driven work productsas necessary to accurately report on team performance and growth over time.
