Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, 3P, APP Finance in Bangalore, India

Description

Amazon Payment Products team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the 3rd Party Payment Products (3P) business. The individual will lead all FP&A functions for the 3P organization, support the marketing team with timely analysis and insightful guidance, and drive headcount planning in partnership with the 3P Leadership Team. The right individual will have strong finance, analytical, and leadership skills. Individual should possess solid business judgment and be capable of driving the right results, including the ability to influence senior business leaders and to work cross-functionally with multiple finance and business teams including Accounting, Business Development, Product Management, Marketing and Operations.

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in partnering with the broader finance and business team to:

• Own and prepare monthly reporting on financial and operational performance metrics

• Own and prepare month reporting on headcount metrics

• Contribute to P&L forecast and planning process including projecting revenue, expenses, and downstream impacts

• Develop the models to support new marketing initiatives

• Analyze large data sets to generate additional insights into opportunities and risks

• Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent and a minimum 5-8 years of finance experience, OR master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Preferred Qualifications

• An MBA or MS in Finance or a related field

• Exceptional financial modeling skills

• Advanced knowledge of Excel/ financial modeling

• Advanced analytical skills

• Experience with TM1/Cognos or similar tools

• SQL Experience is a plus

• An ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment

• Collaborative interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills

• Experience in a technology company or high-tech environment

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience

  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

  • Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

  • Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
