Title of Job: Senior Engineer, QA

Role Location: Bangalore, India

Position Description: Vocera (Now part of Stryker) is seeking a passionate and innovative Senior QA Engineer in the Wearable devices team. As a member of the wearable devices team, you will be focused on Testing and Automation of the feature implementation. You are responsible for writing manual and automation test cases and executing those. This position reports to the Sr.Manager – R&D.

Responsibilities:

  • software QA automation activities for various embedded device products in accordance with internal quality procedures.

  • Develop, and optimize robust enterprise-grade automation system modules.

  • Work with cross-functional teams, collect various metrics, and implement tests for embedded device quality.

  • Develop continuous integration (CI) pipeline.

  • Develop efficient test cases.

  • Understand product features at various technology layers and identify automation improvements.

  • Understand the business workflows use cases and perform manual tests.

  • Follow established process and perform firmware release activities.

Competencies:

  • Solid knowledge in device automation using Python. Exposure to various tools like PyTest, Jenkins, Selenium, Robot Framework, docker, databases, RESTful APIs, BDD, Cloud tools, and other relevant system automation frameworks are added advantages.

  • Proficiency in working with Linux environment.

  • Strong command over Software Development and Testing Life Cycle processes

  • Ability to learn newer technologies quickly and implement automation systems using efficient tools including machine learning-based approaches, as appropriate.

  • Solid understanding of various layers of testing including unit testing, regression testing, load testing, system testing, end-to-end testing, etc.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of software engineering best practices, including Python coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, continuous deployment, and test suite development and maintenance.

  • Proactive, self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate.

  • Strong exposure to agile scrum, scaled agile, and test management tools.

  • Resourceful and able to solve problems through practical use of technology and a solid understanding of product architecture.

  • Ability to work within a geographically dispersed dynamic team to achieve desired results.

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent.

  • 3+ years of developing automation frameworks in Python.

  • Solid knowledge of Agile-based development.

  • Track record of delivering quality technical results within committed time parameters.
