Senior Procurement Specialist Category Buyer Marketing Procurement

PURPOSEAND OBJECTIVES

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Category Buyer Marketing & Solutions to join our procurement team. The Category Buyer Marketing & Solutions will play a critical role in driving innovation, efficiency, and growth across the sub-Categories: Advertising & Brand, Direct & Digital Marketing, Paid Media, Market Research, and Corporate Communications. This individual will collaborate closely with the Category Managers, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers to support the development and implementation of global category strategies and initiatives.

In addition to category management responsibilities, the Category Buyer will be instrumental in driving organizational transformation within the procurement function. This involves implementing new procurement processes, embracing digitalization, fostering sustainable sourcing, and promoting change management to ensure procurements alignment with broader business objectives. The individual will be a change agent, working to integrate modern procurement practices that not only deliver cost savings and operational efficiency but also enhance supplier relationships and support the company's strategic sustainability and innovation goals.

Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement Marketing & Solutions, this role will be part of a sub-team of six individuals responsible for Marketing Procurement. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for both operational excellence and organizational change, enabling the procurement team to evolve into a strategic function that drives long-term value for the company.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Support development and implementation of global sourcing and supplier strategies for the categories.

Drive global procurement initiatives in cross-functional teams with a focus on Marketing & Solutions, while championing transformational change across the procurement function.

Support the management of key supplier relations, ensuring alignment with the organization's sustainability and innovation goals.

Drive innovation, transformation, and improvements in procurement initiatives, embedding new processes, digitalization, and forward-thinking approaches within sourcing projects.

Generate value within the procurement process together with the Line of Business, while supporting broader organizational transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency and long-term business success.

Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be a trusted business value enabler, while promoting a culture of change and continuous improvement.

Seek continuous improvement of procurement performance through transformation efforts that focus on modernizing the procurement function and creating greater agility.

Support efficiency and optimization of procurement activities within the GPO Marketing & Solutions team, ensuring that transformation strategies are aligned with operational needs and sustainability goals.

WHAT YOU BRING

University degree preferably in Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or equivalent work experience.

10 years of experience in procurement or a related field, ideally with a focus on indirects or Marketing in a multinational environment.

Fluent English (spoken and written).

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to support decision-making, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.

Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive change across the organization and with external suppliers.

Proven experience in leading or contributing to organizational transformation, including implementing new processes, driving digitalization, or managing change within procurement or similar functions. The candidate should be comfortable working in dynamic environments and capable of championing innovation, sustainability, and new ways of working within the team.

Strategic mindset, with the ability to think beyond immediate tasks and understand the long-term impact of procurement strategies on business transformation and value creation.
